Since 2010, The Folk Music Institute and Pelimannitalo (The Fiddlers' House) have arranged the Konsta Jylhä Competition of folk music. The competition's theme varies from year to year, and its finals take place during the Kaustinen Folk Music Festival.
The enrolment for the 15th Konsta Jylhä Competition is open until 30.4. This year’s competition is for small groups, and the theme is ballads. The final event 13.-14.7.2025 is part of Kaustinen Folk Music Festival. Go to competition rules and entry form.
