05.05.2025

The Nordic Culture Fund has awarded funding to a project coordinated by the Finnish Folk Music Institute to promote the Culture Goal 2030 campaign in Finland and the Nordic countries. The aim of the global Culture Goal 2030 campaign is to have a separate culture goal in the UN's post-2030 sustainable development agenda. The project aims to disseminate information about this goal and cultural sustainability and to involve a wide range of stakeholders from different cultural sectors in the campaign. In addition to Finnish Folk Music Institute, the project includes Kulta ry., the Finnish national campaign coordinator, and John Crowley of the PHGD Group, an expert consultant providing research for the project.

The project was kicked off with a seminar on 5 May 2025 with the seminar Cultural Sustainable Development Goal - Towards Mondiacult 2025 conference. The seminar recording (in Finnish only) is available at Finnish Folk Music Institute Youtube channel.
