The world's largest cultural policy conference, UNESCO's Mondiacult 2025 in Barcelona on September 29–October 1, brings together thousands of participants to discuss the future of culture globally. Mondiacult will be attended by a wide range of decision-makers, civil society actors, artists, and young people to ensure that cultural rights are guaranteed and defended everywhere.
The conference plays a key role in promoting the status of culture: With the UN's Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development nearing its conclusion, now is a crucial moment to build consensus and gain momentum for culture to have its own independent goal in the UN's next development strategy.
On Monday, September 15, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:45 p.m., we will provide an update on the latest news regarding the sustainable development cultural goal campaigns in a webinar. The keynote speaker will be John Crowley, one of the key experts in the international campaign. The webinar will also present the latest version of the sustainable development goal for culture and discuss how different community-level actors can utilize the cultural goal. The webinar is a continuation of the event Cultural Goals for Sustainable Development – Towards the Mondiacult 2025 Conference, which was held on May 5 in Helsinki.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l9GFD-xASco)
