The theme of the Sharing Cultural Spaces project, implemented by the Folk Music Institute and funded by Pirityiset ry, is the utilization of cultural heritage to strengthen regional vitality and sustainable social and cultural development. One of the main target groups of the project is young people, and one part of the project is a youth exchange program with Latvian and Estonian project partners. A "Heritage Camp" will be held in each participating country in the fall of 2026 and in the spring and fall of 2027.
Young people aged 15–21 who live in the Pirityiset ry area (Central Ostrobothnia, excluding the city of Kokkola and Kannus) are eligible to apply for the program. Participation is free of charge for those who are accepted. Applications for the program are open until March 31. See the application flyer (only in Finnish).
